It's inclement weather week at Butterfly Chaser Photography. I'm posting about shoots that helped stretch me as a photographer.
When dealing with rain, my first choice is always to reschedule. You cannot do an outdoor family shoot in the rain and get good results. (Cameras get ruined, clothes get plastered to people, hair gets flattened, etc). However in College Station sometimes you have to play it by ear and "call" whether you need to reschedule or not an hour or so before the shoot because the weather can be unpredictable. With this shoot the family drove from Waco, so it was a little trickier. Luckily they were super flexible and easy to work with and we decided to give it a go. So, I prayed all the way out to Royalty Pecan Farms (as raindrops hit my car) and we got completely lucky and it wound up not raining until the shoot was over. Whohoo!
Aren't they a good looking bunch?
It helped that their kiddos were older so they hopped out of the car ready to run through so poses quickly, before the rain.
Grace was prepared in case we did get some rain ;)
Love!
These files are all out of order (thanks, Blogger) but this was the very end of the shoot as the rain was coming towards us from College Station and creating an awesome sky to work with.
