Preston

This sweet boy is Preston. I think there must be something about that name, as I've never met a Preston I didn't like!

He is in love with his moma!

Look at those cheeks!

He was also the fastest crawler I've shot yet. It was hard to keep up with him!

Doesn't he look like a little man in his button down?

On Rain and Rescheduling

Oh goodness! have you seen this week weather forecast? It's pretty bleak! Luckily the forecast is wrong more often then it's right, but if you have a shoot with me and are concerned I completely understand!

The first thing is the forecast changes almost hourly and is different depending on the service you use. Yesterday was a 30 percent change of rain and we decided to risk it anyway. On the way to the shoot it DID rain and I had my windshield wipers on the highest setting, but decided to go to the location anyway and talk to the client. Oddly enough it stopped raining, the sun came out and we had a successful shoot.

With this in mind I like to determine whether or not the shoot happens as close to the date/time as possible. So, if you have a shoot this weekend and would like to talk to me in person about the weather, e-mail me and I'll make sure you have my number so we can talk the day before or the day of the shoot.

Of course, I can't post without a picture so here is sweet Ella in the bluebonnets!

Radley

How handsome is this little man? He was SO good to me too! I think I *might* have gotten one image of him not smiling?

Radley's baby sister, Emersyn is inside that bump!

I love this series! In the first frame Radley is cheese-ing it up, then he's like "what's happening down there?" and then in the next frame he's like "I'm going to get me some kisses too!".

Caleb

18-month-old's are such interesting people! I've shot three of them in as many days and all of them have been completely different; which is what keeps this job interesting...trying to figure out what makes each kid tick!

This is Caleb, he was completely delightful!

Obviously he gets his amazing blue eyes from his mama!

In between outfit changes, getting a cookie break!

Marko and Rebecca

Rebecca and Marko are friends of mine that I met through church. I did their engagement photographs last year, and now they are about to celebrate their first wedding anniversary!

When Rebecca contacted me about doing a couple shoot in the bluebonnets, she mentioned that she wanted to shoot them in her wedding dress before she had it dry cleaned and boxed! How awesome is that! After the wedding is the best time to take more adventurous pictures in your dress (get your money's worth out of it!) as you don't have to worry about ruining it.

So, at 7:15 in the morning I'm wearing two cardigans (I'm a delicate flower like that), tramping through knee high wet bluebonnets and listening to my shoes squeak because of how much water is filling them. I was pretty sure at that point that any other client would have said "You know...I'm not so sure this is going to work", but Rebecca and Marko were such troopers and were willing to do any poses that I suggested. Sit in the wet flowers in her wedding dress? Sure! Hold hands and look towards the morning sun so I can do some backlighting? Done.

At the end of the shoot Rebecca's dress was definately quite a bit wet, but not anything a good dry cleaning couldn't fix and I think we got the images that they had envisioned.

How cute are they?

Carter and Allie: College Station Bluebonnet Photographer

I'm having so much fun shooting bluebonnets! I'm fact, I'm cutting the writing on this post short as I need to hit the sack, I have a bluebonnet shoot at 7:15 tomorrow. Hopefully it will be foggy :)

This is sweet Allie.

This handsome boy is Carter.

I love this one!

You can dress a boy up and put him in a field of pretty flowers and he'll still make a gun out of something!
