Brooke and Brenna

College Station weather is weird. We all live here and we know it. Because I know of it's bipolar tenancies, I am very seldom surprised by it. The day of this shoot was one of those surprises.

On the way to the shoot it was raining so hard that I had my wipers on the highest setting and could still barely see, so I became 100% convinced that we would have to cancel. I would have called Brad or Brandy but I could barely see to drive so of course I wasn't going to get on the phone so I decided to head to our location, 7F, and discuss rescheduling with them there.

By the time we got to 7F it had stopped raining and the sun came out and we were good to go. Bizarre right?

This is Brooke she is SO easy to shoot. (Well trained by her mama, who has a fondness for cameras as well.)

This is Brenna, this one has a well developed sense of humor for a two-year-old!

The couple who built 7F started by building this church, which they were then married in. It is a gorgeous wedding location and the spot where Brad and Brandy got married!

Natalie and Caleb

For a little perspective, this is Caleb from last July.

These were my two favorite images from his newborn shoot.

This is Caleb today. Isn't it crazy how much he's changed? How is that even possible? (I have my theories and they involve baby trade ins...perhaps for a quieter model) ;)

Either way he's a ridiculously adorable child.

Caleb doing a little yoga during our shoot...

I'm not going to lie, I uploaded this image just because of his left leg's rolls showing. How cute is that!?!?

I love the contrast between the rough wood and the smooth skin on his feet.

The whole family!

Eventually Caleb got tired of being shot went inside for a nap, and so I got some shooting time in with his big sister Natalie. This is her pose. (I love it when little girls do this!)

Kaylee, Camryn and Jacob

I've been trying to upload more images to my blog so less people feel left off of it. However I shoot 2 shoots a day and I generally only update this thing 5 times a week so it can be a bit difficult to include everyone unless I do a mega-blog session like today.

Generally the last session I edit at night is the session that makes the blog, although I do give preference to new clients (who have no idea why it's taking their images so long to be edited and want a sneak peek) and people who live far away and have to have their images mailed to them. However, that's not fair to some of my best clients who I've been shooting the longest.

This is the Cortez family and I've been shooting them since I moved to College Station in 2005 as a college student! Their little girls are so very well trained in taking pictures and always make it easy and new edition Jacob is showing signs of liking the camera as well ;)

Jacob loves his mommy!

This is his "signature" face. Isn't it the cutest?!?!

Also cute; Camryn's jumping face. :)

Kaylee has the best hair, (like a pantene commercial!) here she's showing her little sister Camryn how to do a hair flipping pose.

Davis

This is sweet baby Davis, his big brother William and his parents.

Davis was 6-weeks old when we shot these, which is a bit older then I normally do "newborn" shots and as a result we got way more alert and awake shots then I generally do, which is great because they actually capture what an alert and curious baby he is.

Since he was 6-weeks old and a bit reflux prone I was pretty sure we wouldn't be able to get him to sleep, but it was worth all the effort as he did fall asleep for a bit on his tummy and he looked so sweet and peaceful!

As soon as we tried to get some shots of him on his back he woke up again. Isn't he a gorgeous baby?

I love his "thoughtful" pose!

Travis and Tyler

Don't these brothers have the most amazing eyes? Travis is the one with the hazel eyes and Tyler is the blue eyed boy.

Isn't this child's eyes out of this world? During the shoot I reviewed the shots on my screen and they looked unreal there too! For reference, this is the edited version, and below is the unedited version. All I did was change the white balance and bump up the contrast on the entire image, nothing was done to his eyes.

Hey Look, it's Me!

Okay, it's not actually *me* but it's one of my pictures! This is Skylar, from a shoot I did last fall. One of my clients owns a local magazine that writes about community events for families and youth and put me on the cover and ran an ad for me as well. Pretty neat, eh? You can pick up this magazine, in front of Krogers and many other places in the Bryan/College Station area.

This is the ad with Mr. Colton as the model. Think he'll have a hard time explaining to his buddies he's posed in the buff for a magazine when he gets bigger? ;)

Kaden

This is Kaden and his moma (you'll notice most of his shots have his moma in them, he's just a little bit smitten with her). I love this next shot because it looks so much like a shot I got three years ago with his moma and his big sister Zoe!

I love this kid's bellybutton! I think it looks like a cinnamon bun. Anyone else see it?

Then we got him to sleep, which I thought was pretty neat, not all three-month-olds will sleep for you!

Such a pretty boy!
