Mia & Ava

Here's two lovely little ladies I shot a while back. This is Mia, she rather enjoys getting her picture made. Also, how cute is this stage with the missing teeth? Love it!

Ava was less sure about being photographed.

But we won her over!

New Blog Design!

Isn't this new blog design awesome?!?!?!

My friend Becca, from Jumping Jax Designs put it together for me. She did a great job of interpreting my "Umm, I think I want a more fresh and modern feel, with a color palate of blues, mostly with maybe some green" into a design that fits my style and design aesthetic perfectly. Not only that, but she was fun and easy to work with despite being hospitalized twice while working on my blog design! (Her personal blog, which is currently detailing her complicated pregnancy with her daughter, Jory, is located here.)

If you have a blog or website that could use some sprucing up I highly recommend her!

And because no post is complete without a picture, here's handsome Mr. Johnathon, he'll be on my blog shortly....I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Jackson Bump Photographs!

Wow it's been a while hasn't it? Blogger hiccuped the other day and I lost a blog post and some blog formatting and comments and I wanted to make sure everything had worked out before I posted again.

This gorgeous bump had a baby named Jackson in it! (He's now a Texas native and I'll be shooting him soon...that tends to be the way I shoot/blog maternity portraits - not a lot of wiggle room ;)

We did these portraits at Royalty Pecan Farm in Caldwell. It's a working pecan farm/ wedding venue and they have been very kind about allowing me to shoot people there. I do have clients call and ask to use the location beforehand and the farm generally requires some of the images on DVD to use in publicity for the venue. I really love the variety you can get here with the trees, the country roads, and the proximity to the Little Brazos River/ railroad tracks. It really is a wonderful location to shoot at.

I just loved how round her bump was :)

London

This sweet family recently added their newest member, lovely little Miss London! I'm not going to post a lot of family pictures with this post (just tons of London) but this one I had to include because it was very in the moment; smiling people, one curious and alert newborn and one completely smitten big sister.

I get the feeling Ellison and London are going to be the very best of friends.

Big brother and protector, Paxton.

Isn't she a doll baby?

I love the contrast in hand sizes.

I loved how alert and attentive she was.

Ayden, Karson & Alyssa

This is one of my favorite families to shoot! They are just such positive and fun people and they look like they enjoy being with each other, which always photographs well ;)

Since they were all in the same town at one time, we decided to do at least part of their shoot with everyone in uniform to honor the fact that their dad serves with the Army. Aren't they the cutest little soldiers you've ever seen?

This is probably my favorite shot from the night.

This girl is well protected!
