Ellison

This adorable little one is Miss Ellison. Didn't her mom do a great job of dressing her to fit the tone of the location?

Her parents also brought fabulous props like this wagon and old scale. Talk about prepared for their shoot!











I short nap and a change of location and we were good to shoot some more!

Houston

This handsome little one is Mr. Houston. He is long awaited and much prayed for. In fact, I was one of the people who prayed for him, and that made that shoot extra special for me. :)

I think he may be a tiny bit adored.



He was pretty alert and curious for a brand new person!

Here's a before-and-after of how we got a shot of Houston in some awesome baskets his dad made. Safety should always be the first consideration with a shot like this, and there should always be one adult whose sole purpose is to spot the baby. Additionally Houston was tucked/swaddled into the basket in such a way that he wasn't going to be able to move much even if he did start wiggling. (The bump on his head is a bruise from birth. They are relatively common and photoshop away easily enough.)






I like how he looks like a little forest baby all tucked up in the fur!

Thistle

This beautiful little girl is Miss Thistle. We did a lifestyle type of shoot with her at her house, starting with some more formal posed shots outside and then going inside for more "slice-of-life" styled images.



Isn't she the cutest thing ever?



Thistle was such a happy girl too, very easy to shoot!
