AYC Magazine August Cover Picture Contest

Want to see your kid on the cover of the August AYC issue? Have you had their picture made recently by Butterfly Chaser Photography? If you answer ‘yes’ to both questions – then submit your child's photo for the Facebook Cover Page Contest!

AYC (Active Youth and Community) is a local magazine and has a readership of about 8 thousand. You can pick them up in front of Krogers, and many other locals restaurants and stores.

They start taking submissions immediately and stop at 5pm Wednesday July 14th. To submit your image, go to AYC's facebook page for their e-mail address.

They will then will then post the top 10 images on the AYC facebook page starting Thursday, July 15th.

You will then have until Sunday July 18th to get all your friends to vote for your photo. Only “likes” under the photo will count as votes, although comments are welcome. The photo with the most votes wins and will be the cover photo for the month of August!

Emersyn (and a little bit of Radley)

Remember this family? Shortly after the maternity session the mom, Katy, started to collect props and picture ideas for her new little girl and when the little Miss arrived we had the best session! This isn't even all of the ideas we ran sweet Miss Emersyn through! She was a good model and did great the whole time.

Emersyn in a planter

Strawberry ice cream baby:)

I really enjoy using props during newborn sessions, and I have a few wraps, a doll bed, some hats, tutus and headbands... but I never want to project my style on a client or make them feel obligated to use my things. I think it's awesome when client lets me know what type of images they want from the start so I know what (if any) props to bring with me!

This sneek peek was supposed to be about Emersyn, but I had to include a few with Mr. Radley, he's such an easy kid to shoot! True story, I was helping him get dressed and asked him if he wanted his collar popped or not, turns out he did ;)

This purple wrap is mine and the headband is Emersyn's but don't the colors match perfectly?

She's really such a stunning baby

Little gypsy baby!

Collin and Ainsley

This sweet family braved a day that was determined to rain (it didn't but not from lack of trying) and we got some sweet shots of their two ridiculously adorable children!

I love this shot! As any family with more than one child can tell you, there's always that one who wants to stand out in the photo ;)

This adorable bundle of mischief is Collin

And this sweet girlie is Ainsley

I love how evident her big brother worship is in this picture!

Those freckles just slay me with cuteness!

Boy feet, girl feet

Doesn't he look thoughtful with his hands crossed behind his back?

The Bump that is My Nephew!

Hey. Did you know my little sister is pregnant?

You are thinking about now, "Oh sweet Moses, of course we know Lydia is pregnant! It's all you've talked about for the last 8.5 months!" Which is probably a pretty valid point, I just can help myself! A baby! That's pretty much the best thing ever and a baby who I can do any pose/wild idea I want on? (I'm smiling just thinking about it).

Anyways, Lydia and her husband Chris came into town on their two year wedding anniversary and we did a maternity photoshoot in the middle of the day, which meant it all had to happen indoors and it was a different and fun session.

We started at Spoons, I just love the tile walls there! (There's another Spoons picture at the bottom of the post; the one that was on my facebook page).

The we moved on to Blue Baker

About to pop?

Grow a baby is hard work and requires a lot of sleep, so we headed back to my house.

Then we messed around with some abstracts. (Lydia would like you to know she's clothed here).

I'm pretty sure they have the final contenders picked out, but I'm not sure if they've picked "the" name yet. So we documented this confusion. Want to leave her a name idea in the comments?
