Eleanor & Sam

This family and I met up on a hot summer night to do a family session on Campus and then head to Research park for a cake smash.

Miss Eleanor was so lively and full of fun.

Like 75% of the babies whose cake smashes I shoot, Sam wasn't entirely crazy about the cake. I love his faces here in response to the texture of the icing. Why are we torturing this poor baby with cake?



Turns out all he needed was a spoon to eat his cake in a couth and civilized manner. :)

Kate, Benjamin & Dean

This lovely family braved the heat to do a session celebrating their 10 year anniversary and also to celebrate their family now, before they add a new member this fall.

They have the prettiest kids with the most reflective eyes. This is the eldest Kate.

And this happy bundle of energy is Benjamin







This is the baby of the family, Dean. How awesome is that name? Also, why aren't more people using it? It's easy to spell, a man's name, not very popular and has a tiny bit of old Hollywood swagger to it. ....Think about it.

If there's a tiny Dean explosion in College Station in 9-10 months I'm totally going to claim it was my work ;)

Cady

We shot this family on the windiest day of the year that I've shot yet and that's saying something as it's been a rather windy year. They were such troopers and we worked hard on finding natural windbreaks and the pictures turned out well regardless.... it certainly helps to have gorgeous subjects ;)









Shiny happy people!



Cady has the most distinctive auburn tint to her hair, particularly when you backlight the image (which happens to be my favorite lighting style) so we did most of the shot with that style of lighting to show off her lovely locks.



I love how little kids kick up their feet when they're getting tossed in the air by their dad.



This is one hot mama!











This baby girl has the best eyelashes. I'm also glad she still has her baby cheeks, it's sad when those start disappearing!

Jillian!

This baby is named Jillian and she is the happiest baby ever. (This is pretty much the only serious picture I got of her, she is all smiles all the time).



Look at all that hair! Isn't it just gorgeous?!? And, of course, she's got the eyelashes to match!











I love that we got to incorporate some of the elements from her newborn shoot to show how much bigger she is now!
