Christmas Cards

So I have a little early Christmas present for a few of you! If you have had portraits taken by me in the last few months (and thus I still have the images on my computer) and you would like one of the cards below, e-mail me and I'll send you the file.

Please specify the image file name that you want in the card (and if you want that image in black and white or color), the card you want and the text you wish to have added to the card.

Kristen, since these are your images, let me know which one(s) you want and I'll get them to you! :)

Stagg Family

The Stagg family has three little men and a princess. :)

I think this image is hilarious because Grace looks so fierce in it! She can definitely hold her own with her brothers!

The brothers.

Andrew is eight, and is starting to look so old! Crazy how grown up teeth make kids look so much older!

Ryan is six, and was the cut-up in the family pictures this year.

Grace is five, but thinks she is much older.

I think this is the first time (in numerous shoots) that I have gotten a picture of the G-unit without a huge grin on her face. I love how large her blue eyes look, and this wound up as one of my favorite images from the evening.

This is more "typical" Grace!

Lastly, Lucus, who is two. (For the record, of all the "finger/age" shots, two is the hardest one to get children to do...love how he is looking at his fingers in this shot.)

Kaylee and Camryn

Halloween is coming up, so if you have a session soon be sure to break out the costumes for a shot or two!

Pictured below are two sisters I have photographed since I have been in College Station. Aren't they lovely? Their mother had Halloween outfits made for them and wanted some shots of them in the dresses.

Kaylee is getting to be such a big girl! Since I've last shot her she has managed to lose most of her front teeth. How cute is this smile?

It's always great when you get to a shoot and have children who enjoy being photographed! These girls have been well trained. :P Here they are "bumping noses".

Golden girl Camryn! Love her backlit hair and her sweet smile (for her daddy who was standing behind me).

Megan

I recently visited Fort Worth and while I was there I shot a bridal at the wedding venue known as "The Castle" for rather obvious reasons.

This venue has gorgeous doors (although the windows were lacking a bit. Note to developers, I am here and opinionated if you would like to consult with a photographer before building a wedding venue. ;P) But back to the doors.... They were truly gorgeous!

Isn't her dress lovely? It's very unique and I felt fit the setting.

This is my favorite image from the day. If you click on the picture you can see a larger version which shows the lace details better.

After The Castle, we went to the Dallas Arboretum. I had never been to the Arboretum before and was delighted to have a reason to visit; it truely is a lovely garden. The shoot itself ran very long and it was really hot, but the (future) bride was very patient and her parents were perfect photo-assistants, so we got some really cool shots from this location.

This was one of the last shots of the day. It was about 1:30 and in full sun. This photo follows none of the technical rules but I like it anyway.

Let's Get This Party Started

Ah, a new blog. There’s something so promising in its clean expanses, like new school supplies beckoning to be used… Let’s start with the introductions, shall we?

My name is Sarah Giles, I’m a post-undergrad living in College Station and working as a photographer for the Bryan /College Station area. I used to blog here, www.xanga.com/leans_2_the_right but felt it was time to use a more streamlined interface and started this blog to coincide with my new photography website going live.

This blog will be a place for me to advertise specials and post previews of client photos. Check back often! I plan on updating frequently
