Lilah

These two pretty ladies are Miss Abigail and her little sister Lilah! I shot Abigail's newborn portraits two years ago, so it was fun to shoot her sister as well.I could be wrong, but I think I may be getting better at newborns as I go. Here's hoping at least ;)

The colors we decided to use with Lilah were predominantly purple and teal to go with her complexion and gorgeous hair!

Love purple and teal together! Also, how cute is the height difference between these two?

Lilah really looked like her hair was highlighted with blonde streaks!

We shot newborn Abigail on this table too, but Abigail was 5ish pounds when we shot her and Lilah was 8ish. Also Lilah refused to lie on just the table, she wanted a little lace cushion...you've got to love similar but different kiddos!

Robbi Ruth

She was such a great sleeper for us...it's always fun when they happens and you get to play with set ups a little more, rather than spend time on soothing the baby!

The elephant blanket was handmade for Robbi with material her mama picked. Isn't it great? I loved how it photographed!

Bailey turns 2!

We did this shoot to celebrate Bailey turning 2! It happened to coincided with the time of year the carnival comes to the mall parking lot, so we decided to maker a carnival shoot out of it!

Shooting at the carnival is harder than shooting at other locations with small children because the very nature of a carnival is distracting and it's much, much harder to get attention from the child when you are surrounded by fun things that compete with you! So when I do small children in a carnival atmosphere, I always make sure the shoot starts at a different, quieter location to make sure I get shots with eye contact first ;)

Bailey's mama made her that dress and wanted some shots of her playing dress up in her mama's shoes, since that's something she loves to do!
