Avery & Riley

Here's a fun shoot I did with two of my favorite ladies (and, incidentally two of my first clients.)

Avery and Riley tend to have well planned out shoots. This year their Aunt Judy made them lovely Princess/ medieval ladies outfits and they borrowed a unicorn horn for the first set of images. For the second set they set up a bed in the middle of a field and for the third set I surprised them with tattoos and hair dye (I did ask their mother first).

Generally this many set ups wouldn't work within the time frame of a shoot, but these ladies are old enough, and like me enough to cooperate fully, like the little models they are. :)

Sweet Miss Riley

Avery is getting entirely too big too fast.

I love how the quilt is making a heart shape around their heads.

Then we broke out the (temporary) pink hair dye and the (fake) tattoos.

Pretty fierce, eh?

Avery

This sweet family recently welcomed a sweet baby girl into their lives. This is Miss Avery and her parents!

Isn't she just beautiful?

Avery on her bedding, I really liked how the pinks and oranges worked together.

Sweet Miss Avery was born breech and (like all new babies) was most comfortable in the same position she was in the womb, which made posing a bit different them I normally do. However she was such an accommodating little model and we had a really smooth shoot! I also think it's neat that she was breech as only 3 % of babies are at term. I think this means she'll be a problem solver and approach challenges from a new angle ;)

Seriously. This child is gorgeous. Those lips! That hair!

Kiera

Kiera came from Houston for her shoot! We did this shoot at 4pm, which is earlier than I like to shoot toddlers (2-year-olds aren't the most stationary subjects, and keeping them in pockets of good light can be tricky) but Kiera turned everything I know about 2-year-olds on it's head and was the most amazingly easy two-year-old I have ever met. (And I meet a lot of sweet toddlers, it's one of my favorite ages.)

I love the self posing little girls do!

Airplane!

Can't you just see her lips saying "Two!" here?

I love serious expressions on children. I think it really emphasizes the eyes.

Sweet baby feet!

Abby

This adorable little imp is named Abby!

She is particularly fond of the one-two-three swing game.

Just one more turn?

If you are ever around Abby and her Daddy is becomes clear immediately that they are each others favorite person. I think she was very aptly named, because Abigail means "father's joy" and it's easy to see she is.

I love how little kids sit on their feet like this!
